David Horvath and Sun-Min Kim are a husband and wife team living in Los Angeles. They met in art school where they began creating art and designing toys together. The Uglydolls were born in 2001 when overseas correspondence between the two progressed from David's line drawings of a little orange, apron-wearing character named Wage, to Sun-Min's 3-D versions. David, Sun-Min, and the Uglydolls family (now over 10 characters) have been featured on CNN, the Today Show, The New York Times, In Style, and in store windows around the world.
